The journey involved transitioning from ideation on post-its to launching tangible programs, with each of the four pilot teams developing unique initiatives. The custom pilot programs included:
1. Life-Long Health Discussions: Focused on supporting patients and their chosen families.
2.Collective Care for BIWOC Caregivers: Centered on the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color caregivers.
3. Community Dialogues on Racism Impact: Aimed at facilitating truthful conversations on racism's impact on Black Americans.
4. BIPOC Leadership Development and Community Building: Geared towards individuals facing systemic harm.
Implementing these initiatives proved challenging, underscoring the complexities of organizational change. The dedication of each team, overcoming equity and implementation hurdles, resulted in the successful launch of their first prototypes, contributing to momentum and capability growth for systemic healthcare shifts with a focus on equity. The pilots programs are running successfully in the 4 institutions with the last 2 gatherings seeing increased enrollment and 100% attendance.
